While 2019 has been a pretty quiet year for most of Luke’s projects, the web series he co-wrote, HOW TO DO EVERYTHING, has had quite the successful run on the festival circuit!

First up was the world premiere at the Miami Web Fest in May, in which the series was a New Media Star Selection. The exec producers, Joseph Tribble and Joe Lacerda, and the director, Danny Oakden, made appearances to support the project. The episode that was screened, “What’s in a Magna Cum Laude?”, was written by Luke and featured his character, Greg, in the main storyline.

Next up, the series had its Northeast Premiere as an Official Selection at the New Jersey Web Fest in Montclair, NJ. This time, Luke was able to make it to the screening and see the project on the big screen! It was pretty cool. HOW TO DO EVERYTHING was also nominated for Best Sketch Comedy Series (despite not really being a sketch comedy series) and Best Ensemble in a Comedy.

At the awards gala on the final night of the NJ Web Fest, exec producer Joe Lacerda learned that HOW TO DO EVERYTHING has been given a direct selection into the 1st Annual Santa Monica Webfest in June 2020! We’re super excited about the opportunity and we’re already planning a beach trip to go support the project.

Meanwhile, Luke and fellow filmmaker Jamila J Brown have been hard at work on a new collaboration called Wontanara Street. What exactly is it? You’ll have to follow them on social media to find out!

On April 14th, Luke made his debut at The Duplex, the storied NYC cabaret venue. His show, "#Adulting: Life Lessons With Luke", discussed adult life and the lessons we all learn as we exist in this world, and how none of us know what the f*!)$ we're doing, and that's kinda sorta totally okay.

Due to popular demand, Luke is already in the process of writing another show, to be performed in the fall. Stay tuned!

In February 2018, Luke got behind the camera for the first time, directing a short film entitled, "Baristas", based on his real life day job: working at a coffee shop. In this ensemble-based web series pilot, Luke plays Jake, an overly enthusiastic barista. The film was part of The Actor's Green Room Short Film Challenge, and was nominated for their quarterly "Best Of" Festival. Luke and his co-producer, Marcy Thorn, are currently submitting the project to festivals around the New York City area.

Luke has been hard at work with his sister, Samantha, on finishing their film, Aperture. They co-executive produced the film, with Samantha directing and Luke writing and starring in the piece. After five months of post-production, they have finally locked picture and are beginning the final stages. In the coming weeks, they'll be consulting with their composer, their colorist, and their sound editor to put the final touches on the passion project.

Aperture tells the story of Gavin, a graduate student on the cusp of receiving his MFA in Photography, whose world is turned upside down when his aunt and uncle die, leaving him to take care of his cousin, Alina (Samarah Conley, Adulthood, How Am I Doing?, A My Name Is). Whilst both dealing with their own grief, they come to understand that how we feel about our lives is not so much the situation we're in, but how we choose to see it.

Aperture will have its private family-and-friends screening in late May and will be subsequently shipped off to festivals.
